Hours before wedding: Groom-to- be dies in autocrash

The family of a 34-year-old groom-to-be in Ibadan, Oyo state, named Bosun, is in mourning as they grapple with the sudden loss of their son. The heartbreaking incident occurred on the eve of his wedding.

Bosun, along with his best man, met a tragic end on Idi-Ape Road while returning from his bachelor’s eve party. The fatal auto crash, which happened opposite Bova’s Petrol Station, Olowotinfowosanu Shopping Complex in Ibadan, also claimed the lives of two others, who were friends of the groom.

Until his untimely demise on September 29, Bosun had been employed by a multinational company in Nigeria. His wedding, scheduled for September 30, was to take place on what should have been a joyous occasion but turned into a day of profound sadness.

Reports indicate that the accident occurred around 11 p.m. when the groom was returning from his bachelor’s eve party in a Highlander SUV, with his best man driving a Toyota Camry behind him. Their vehicles collided with a trailer offloading at the scene.

The groom’s body has been taken to Molly Hospital, Ibadan. A close friend of Bosun, named Sesan, expressed his grief on Facebook, saying, “This is too sad to bear. Rest in peace, Bosun.”
